I don't think I have many friends I could call a genius. During the making of this film, I called him up and asked "Do you know how to play the last movement of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata?" which is a ridiculous thing to ask somebody.

DeTar Music was established in 2007 and is located in the heart of Santa Barbara, California. We are a private studio specializing in music education, composition, recording and production. Our studio is comprised of some of the best educators, composers and producers the area has to offer. We are a group of highly trained professional musicians, (university / conservatory) and hold degrees in music performance, composition, theory and production. Our teaching studio focuses on professional music education in piano, voice, guitar, bass and drums.

Our production studio has created many professional scores and records for a variety of bands, film, television, web and advertisement companies around the globe. We do all styles of music and work quickly and within budgets to create a quality product. It is our mission to provide excellent and personalized service at the convenience of the client.

DeTar Music offers professional in studio musical training. While it is our teaching philosophy to emphasize a classical approach, we teach all styles including jazz and pop. Our studio is committed to providing quality music education in a fun, encouraging environment. Programs offered include individual instruction, band class and performance opportunities.
